Farm Interphone provides external, intercom and monitoring service. Bell studies show the system can bring increased productivity through savings in time and energy. The three main components are shown in this drawing: special telephones equipped with loudspeaker-microphones placed in the house and in the barn and a high-powered loudspeaker mounted in an outdoor work area. This system permits either private or "broadcast" communications with hands-free answering.
