Description: 1962-70 Banknote from Hong Kong No Date Issue of The Chartered Bank Ten Dollars Currency Note Pick Number 70c Good Very Fine For your World Currency Collection-PCU1482 Details Description: A nice very fine or better banknote issued by the Chartered Bank of Hong Kong. This is the no date (1962-70) Ten Dollars banknote. The note is black and red-brown on red and green underprint on the front and is red brown in color on the back. The front has the denomination in the center and Arms left of center. The front also has two signatures and the serial number. The back depicts the image of the Chartered Bank building in the center. This particular note has the serial number 9341560 shown twice in blue and is series U/G. The note has a watermark depicting a helmeted warrior's head to the right of center of the front. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Undated but was issued in the period 1962 - 1970. Printer: Thomas De La Rue & Company Ltd of England. Size: Measures ~5 7/8" by ~3 1/4". Pick Number: P 70c. The note shows circulation with many folds, creases and wrinkling. Paper is lightly soiled but has no major objectionable stains. The paper retains some of its original stiffness. Edges show general light roughness, has some nicks at the ends of the folds but has no tears or splits. The colors of the note are clear and still retain some of their original brightness. The corners are intact but show general rounding and creasing. Note has no graffiti or pinholes. Please see photos for additional condition information.
