Light water or tea dampness staining to spine of Vol. I, causing some discoloration and toning. Water dampness staining to spine & rear board of Vol. III, causing soiling and staining. Glue residue found on all paste-downs (front and rear) from previous card catalogues and envelopes (ex-library). Toned glue residue can be seen at top edges of boards, above text-blocks’ margins. Edited and written by an international panel of 171 leading scholars and thinkers of the early twentieth century.
