Description: 1963 Burnt Honey Amber Bischoff Kingstown Glass Ships Decanter Green Hue w/ GFC Label, as pictured. This is the larger of the two ships decanters offered that year. Designed by the great Wayne Husted while employed by Blenko but moonlighting for Bischoff. Made in 1963 for the 1964 catalog, Bischoff's final year of production before being taken over by Indiana Glass. These rare amber to green pieces are an easily identified one year mystery that they never figured out, as the amber was supposed to fade to clear, as you see with the Husted designs used in the later Indiana Glass Greenwich Flint Craft burnt honey amber pieces. Bears the original GFC label. No cracks, chips or repairs. Exhibits typical flaws associated with handblown glass production: bubbles, etc. Has some light water residue in the bottom that I have not attempted to remove. See photos. Ships same or next day at no cost to you. Thanks for looking.
