Description: Please Please Me / From Me To You 45rpm record in an original 1964 VJ Records holiday sleeve. The bracket rainbow VJ logo on the record matches the logo on the sleeve. The paper sleeve has evidence of handling, including tears on the upper edge of both sides. The tears start at the center hole and do not go all the way to the upper edge. The vinyl is in good shape, and plays well. There are the usual noises you hear on an old record that has been used, but not abused. Please look at all the photos. Chicago's VEE-JAY Records distributed all BEATLES records in the U.S. from February 1963 to October 1964, after which industry giant Capitol Records took over. VEE-JAY printed this holiday sleeve early in October of 1964, a few weeks prior to the expiration of their distribution rights. They did this in order to make all 11 existing BEATLES 45's look "new". And it worked! Thousands of rabid BEATLES fans re-purchased 45RPM singles they already owned just to get the cool Christmas sleeve. Sleeve was designed by Hollywood graphic artist George S. Whiteman.
