Bill Mazeroski, born on September 5, 1936, in Wheeling, West Virginia, is forever etched in baseball history for one iconic moment that solidified his status as one of the greatest defensive second basemen in the game's history. Mazeroski spent his entire 17-year Major League Baseball career with the Pittsburgh Pirates, making his debut in 1956.
