Offered for sale is this Vintage & Extremely Rare 1964 Canadian issued Skipper Doves Red Sensation Doll & Case in Nr Mint Condition & Easily one if not the Nicest examples of this desired doll case i've ever seen, free of any cracks, rips, tears & issued 60 years ago in Canada by Mattel Canada Inc. This Doll Case is considered the "Holy Grail" of Doll Cases As shown in the Encyclopedia of Barbie collectibles on page 376 & listed with the highest rating for rarity as "Extremely Rare" & a value back in 2011 of $600+ as shown in my 2nd last pic. Also listed & pictured in The Collectors Guide to Barbie Doll Vinyl Cases by Connie Kaplan on page 176 with a value of $1000 + as shown in the 3rd last pic. Connie goes on to describe this Doll Case as the Holy Grail of Doll Cases & the unique graphics which feature Skipper, Barbie & Allan. This combination of the 3 do not appear on any other vinyl item ever issued by Mattel. Complete with the matching doll with correct clothes. Canadian issued Barbie collectibles from the 1960's are very sought after by Vintage Barbie & Doll Case collectors... especially the Canadian issued as they often have graphics & designs specific to Canada only & were issued in much smaller numbers than the USA Barbie cases of that time & are considered Investment collectibles that will only increase in value with time. This is one of those Rare Canadian items & the case measures 10 1/2"x 10 3/4"x 2 1/2" .
