Description: Take a close look at the images (full coin and close up on error) as THIS IS the actual coin you are purchasing. It is a 1966 Kennedy half-dollar. This coin hasn’t been graded. Pretty sure it was not circulated. This is one of MANY coins that were left to us by our grandfather. They’ve been sitting in a cigar box for last 50-60 years. Most are in pretty amazing condition. I’ve found cheek and hair rubbing on many of them — likely from coin contact inside that cigar box. I’ve carefully removed the coins from the box and put them in coin flips. Thank you for checking it out! This 1966 Kennedy half dollar is a rare find for collectors due to its mint error. The error is a double die (reverse), where the same image is stamped twice on the coin, creating a unique and eye-catching effect.
