Description: Up for auction is an absolutely beautifully restored matched set of 1968 Corvette Tri-power Holley carburetors. These carburetors are guaranteed 100% original and not re-stamps as you can see by the before restored pictures of the date pads. These carbs were not all dinged up or chipped, they started our process as very nice carbs. These carbs were original equipment on all 1968 Corvette with the 427/435HP or 427/400HP option with 4 speed transmission. These carbs came on the L-68, L-71 and L-89 cars . These carbs are dated April making them perfect for a May or June produced NCRS judged car. These carbs will meet or exceed NCRS specs. The center carburetor 4055 is dated 842 and the 3659 end carbs are dated 843 making this a perfect set for your May or early June produced car. The center carb has the correct and original 5062 metering block. These carburetors were professionally restored by Custom Rebuilt Carburetors of N.J. These rare carburetors have been completely disassembled and boiled out. These carburetors are then acid etched like an original factory carburetor. There are no painted parts on this restored carburetor. All of the hardware is then re-plated back to its original finish and the carburetor is then assembled to factory specifications using all new parts and components. The throttle shaft is line reamed and brass bushings are installed to eliminate that lean idle miss you get when the throttle shafts are loose. These carburetors have been wet flow tested and are ready to be bolted on with little or no adjustments to be made. We do all of our restorations in house.
