Description: Here we have a very nice and original black1970 Mustang/Cougar center console. It's in exceptional condition, showing no visible cracks or breaks in the plastic body. The three pleat console lid shows minor deterioration on a couple corners as shown, but opens and closes well, with a good fit. The lid catch is missing, but the actuating button works as it should. The coin tray has minor scratches and chips in the chrome as shown but is solid. Wiring for the ashtray light and the bulb receptacle are all in excellent condition. Front ash tray lid functions properly, showing minor rust in the bottom of the ash tray insert. Rear ashtray is excellent, needing only a possible repaint. This original console is much better than the average, and could be used as is, or cleaned up with a new lid and coin tray and provide an excellent show car console. Removed from a 1970 model year, but could also be used in a 1969 model Mustang or Cougar.
