Description: For sale is a beautiful piece made by Seiko in the late 1960s. The Lord Matic line by Seiko was made as a successor to the popular Seikomatic line, and the name is a reference to the legendary Lord Marvel series. The watch runs on the calibre 56 movement that was positioned at the time as Seiko’s high-end movement. It is said that the 56 series was a combination of the 83 and 51 series; the 56 series would eventually end up in some Grand Seikos as well as King Seiko models. This piece features a charming TV-style case and dial. The dial is grey with vertical brushing and features a wonderful combination of applied and painted silver markings. The watch also has the dual language (Japanese/English) day/date wheel that is very sought after these days. Luckily, the watch is in great condition all around and runs well. Even the date wheel works, which is quite uncommon for these. The dial is pristine, and the crystal is great too. Measurements: 31mm diameter 37.5mm lug to lug (the TV case style makes it wear like a 35mm round watch) 10mm thickness 20mm lug width Let me know if you have any questions. International buyers are welcome.
