With eBay’s ridiculous fees and the post office constantly upping their prices I was losing money. Most items I sell are between 3 oz to 8 oz. I will use calculated shipping. On average a 3 oz package, eBay will charge between $5.90 to 6.40. eBay’s cost of shipping will run between $4.40 to 4.90 (my cost) depending on location. eBay will fee this money so if you pay 5.90 for shipping, they will take out 16% so that comes out to about $0.94. So I will have $4.96 left to ship. Factor in the $4.40 that leaves $0.36 to print the label, use bubble wrap and tape. So I will break even or lose a few cents.
