Description: Item Description: This Crown commemorative was the first of the decimal era. Another unique feature is the lack of protective plastic capsule as the coin is displayed just in the display box. The upper, reverse side features an intricate design by Arnold Machin. The letters E, for Queen Elizabeth II, and P for Prince Philip are centred, with forget-me-not foliage encasing them. This flower represents love and respect. The small figure of Eros, God of Love, stands between the initials which are surrounded with the Royal Crown. A total of 100,000 of these commemorative coins were issued by The Royal Mint, each comprised of .925 sterling silver and finished to proof standard. It has a diameter of 38.61 milimetres and weighs 28.28 grams. This collectible coin comes in its original packaging with a small informational leaflet. Please note, Silver or Proof coins may be toned and boxes may not be perfect. ------------------ Sent with Royal Mail Tracked 48 free of charge. We want you to be completely happy with your purchase.
