Description: 1972 S Eisenhower Silver Dollar (40%) Type 2 These1972 S Eisenhower uncirculated Silver Dollars come in the original Blue envelope and are sealed in plastic as uncirculated coins. Minted in San Francisco. The Type 2 dollar features a higher relief and rounder earth - but the islands are very indistinct. Usually the islands appear to lump into one very large island or indentation where the islands would normally appear on the coin. This variety was used in most proof dollar coins of 1971 and all silver dollars of 1972 minted in San Francisco.This variety is also found on a very few copper-clad Ike dollars in 1972 - and this is an extremely rare and valuable variety!
