This scorebook / program was bought at the August 26, 1973 game between the White Sox and the Detroit Tigers. The scorecard section is scored! and scored pretty well. The White Sox won the game 4 to 1. Jim Kaat was the winning picture for the White Sox. Joe Coleman was the losing picture for the Tigers. Both pitchers threw complete games and the total time for the game was just 1 hour and 58 minutes. Carlos May had a big day for the White Sox with 2 homers and 3 RBI. Jerry Hairston had the other White Sox RBI. Frank Howard had a home run for the Tigers. It turned out to be the third to last home run of Howard's storied career which saw him 382 total homers. The scorebook program has lots of neat color pictures of key members of the 1973 team such as Dick Allen and Bill Melton. Manager Chuck Tanner is also prominently featured. This grades in Very Good condition. The cover is firmly attached. There is no marking other than in the scorecard section. It has minor aging & edge wear.
