Description: Note: Please study the images carefully to determine the condition of this vintage photograph, as it may not be in perfect condition. It may contain wrinkles, cracks, and possibly even tears due to its age and how it was handled before it got to us. A scanner may interpret colors and contrast differently than human eyes will, so it is possible that the actual photograph may be slightly darker or lighter in person. This vintage photograph is offered for sale as a collectible item and conveys no transfer of copyright. 1976 Press Photo Bicentennial Commission officials aboard the Freedom Train This is an original press photo. The Freedom Train's wheels keep on rolling... but they did come to a stop in New Orleans long enough for the true (red-white-and) blue Bicentennial Commission to jump aboard for a party. The first to board (in top photo) were Ruth Packard, who travels with the train, and Paul and Kathy Vogt. Not far behind was Janice (Mrs. Frederick) Robey, chairman of the boxcar bash. Also aboard for the $50-per party were Dr. Bill Reeves, Bicentennial Commission executive director, and Amelie Wogan Hardin. And none of the party patrons looked like boxcar passengers. Certainly not the beautiful newcomer to New Orleans, chanteuse Gerry Ersek. She was accompanied on the piano by herself and to the party by her husband, Dr. Robert Ersek. It was called a boxcar bash, but nothing in the plushy decorated private club car that once belonged to Johnson & Johnson resembled a boxcar. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 05-15-1976. PHOTO FRONT PHOTO BACK Historic Images Part Number: noo53206 Sell Smarter with Kyozou.Inventory and Ecommerce Management
