These were issued in 1976. The note pictures Sun Yat-Sen, the founder of the Republic of China, it was issued just after the period Taiwan was ruled by Chiang Kai-shek, leader of the Kuomintang from 1925 until his death in 1975. "Standard Catalog of World Paper Money" (Modern Issues 1960-) by Albert Pick. #1984. Face: JQ320251UA • Red on multicolor underprint • Sun Yat-sen. He was a physician, writer, philosopher and revolutionary. He became the first President and the founding father of the Republic of China. Born November 12, 1866, he became President in 1912, and died on March 12, 1925, from liver cancer. Back: Presidential Office Building, Taipei, originally built in the Japanese era for colonial governors. The Note: A long used note, it did its job. It has been folded and soiled and has some small edge splits but no large tears and no body tears. It has a couple of microscopic pinholes. The note will be sent in a new currency holder that protects it. As grading is subjective please see the pictures and judge for yourself. Remember, FREE SHIPPING!
