Harvey Sabinson (1924–2020) was a notable figure in American theater, recognized for his long career as a press agent and his leadership in the Broadway League. Early in his career, he promoted major Broadway productions such as The Odd Couple, Hello, Dolly!, and 1776, and worked with stars like Barbra Streisand and Carol Channing. He later served as the executive director of the Broadway League from 1982 to 1995, where he significantly contributed to the theater industry. Sabinson also authored a memoir, Darling, You Were Wonderful, published in 1977. The book details his experiences in the world of Broadway and the challenges of his career. For his contributions to theater, Sabinson received numerous honors, including a Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in 1995 and recognition from the American Theater Hall of Fame.
