Description: 1983 D Lincoln Dime Double Die, Half Top Layer Missing On Reverse. Some letters of LIBERTY are doubled. There is also a repunched D mint mark, and a small strike over the numbers 8 and 3 on the date. It's missing about half of the top layer on Reverse. It is very easy to spot the doubling on the words PLURIBUS-UNUM, as well as the dots at the beginning and the end of the phrase. The letter M has a small strike, and letters C and A appear to be touching. There is also doubling on the leaves and torch. The leaves at the left side of the M off America and leaves next to C and A are missing. Upon closer inspection, there seem to be designs that may indicate another strike underneath the dime while very faint there seem to be designs under the leaves on the right side, as well as a triangle in between the torch and the leaves of the left side. There seems to be a visible 6 that makes me believe there was a strike with something other than a coin. There seems to be a line that divides the coin that starts on the letters E and D on UNITED, and, goes down under the torch and behind the letters M, I and D on Dime. I believe this coin is one of a kind.
