In conjunction with its current exhibit, "A Myriad of Autumn Leaves - Japanese Art from the Kurt and Millie Gitter Collection," the museum staged a Japanese family festival, including black belts in judo throwing each other with great ceremonial grunting, and placid teachers writing calligraphy with brushes dipped in an ink of pine soot and water.
