Description: PRICE REDUCED! 984 UNCA"s (University North Carolina Asheville, NC) Lady Bulldogs National NAIA Basketball Champions, Asheville, NC metal license plate/tag. Plate is standard 12" x 6" in excellent condition, especially for being almost 40 yrs. old., with only minor rust or stain in upper right corner of plate. UNCA"s team finished season 32-5 and captured 4 games in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to win the National NAIA Basketball Championship. Team had only 10 players on it's rooster, but included 3 future UNCA's Athletic Hall of Fame, as well as Head Coach Helen Carroll.These 3 HOF players were: Center Shelia Ford, Forward Kim Duncan and Guard Trish Wyatt. Ford was the MVP of the tournament.leading all time scorer and re bounder. Duncan was 2nd in scoring & Wyatt hit the winning shot in the title game against Portland 72-70..
