Very nice mint 1990 Puma 740 Mini 4 Star Folder Knife. This knife has genuine stag handles. The guarantee control number is 16281. This indicates this knife was hand made in the 1st half of 1982. The model number is 0740. The knife is over 34 years old. This is a chance to own a great piece of Puma cutlery history. This Puma model is not often seen. This knife measures 2 7/8" closed with a 2" drop point blade. The front tang is stamped: PUMA GERMANY STAINLESS. The rear tang is stamped 740 4 Stars. The knife features genuine stag handle with four silver pins. The handles are gorgeous with a lot of character.The knife includes the "Puma Proof Mark" on the blade: a small dot or ping on the blade was made with a diamond pointed needle, part of the Rockwell blade quality testing. The Rockwell sticker is also still intact.The Puma knife comes in the Puma green / green box. This Puma knife was hand made in Solingen Germany in 1982.
