The portrait of Monroe is by the artist Michael Deas of New Orleans, LA, and was based on a 1950s studio photograph. Also included to the right of the stamps is a reproduction of Marilyn Monroe's signature and the following short biography: "Few other actresses personified the phrase 'Hollywood movie star' as did Marilyn Monroe (1926-1962).
