Description: This is an auction for a 1998 Hall of Fame Gold Edition signature series postcard of Don Maynard. This auction is for only the Don Maynard postcard and not all of the ones pictured. These postcards are very hard to get in top quality condition and often have some minor corner or edge chipping. Therefore, I would consider this postcard as in ex-mint condition but sometimes they are a little better. Please refer to the scans provided to see for yourself.This postcard is unsigned and comes from a parallel set to the signed 1998 Hall of fame Platinum Edition signature series set. The idea for both the Platinum and Gold pro football hall of fame signature series came from the pro football hall of famer Ron Mix. It was meant to raise money for the hall of famers that did not have the funds to pay for medical bills, etc.Merv Corning headlines a group of nationally renowned artists who collaborated on creating special illustrations for the postcards of the pro football hall of fame members who participated in the sets.Each postcard will be placed into a ridged top loader as shown to protect your investment.
