Description: 19th Century Tiffany & Co. Art Nouveau Tantalus, Betjemann's Patent - Bronze, Enamel, Crystal This is an antique locking tantalus without key circa 1890-1900. I believe it is Bronze but could be brass. The metalwork is adorned with intricate engravings. The right side of the drop-fascia is engraved with "The Tantalus," while the left side features "Betjemann's Patent London 13813." The plinth base boasts elaborate enamel work and a plaque inscribed "Tiffany & Co. Union Square." The set includes three circular diamond-cut Baccarat decanters with faceted stoppers. 2 of the decanters have flake chips to the base but are otherwise excellent. Each decanter stands 5 inches high with a 1.75-inch diameter. These decanters are securely held under a drop-front fascia and rest on original, aged velvet pads.
