Description: I am offering for sale a late 19th or early 20th Century Sterling Silver Snuff Box commemorating the English victory in the 1352 Battle of Mauron during the 100 Years War. The date of the 1352 Battle appears on the bottom of the lid under the feet of 2 soldiers who are shaking hands at the end of the battle. There are numerous hallmarks on the top and the bottom which indicate that it was made by Samuel Boyce Landeck of the Netherlands and exported to Chester, England. It is in excellent condition with age appropriate wear and patina. It measures 2" x 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" high.
