Description: DESCRIPTION: Beautiful Vintage RARE Set of 2 Antique Meiji Japanese Porcelain Hand Painted Geisha / Bijin Guinomi Sake Cups or Sauce Bowls. They are Hand Made and vary slightly in size from each other. One still has a fine woven basket cover. Small footed bowls like Sakazuki bowls. Each is Freehand Hand Painted overglaze with a Geisha, red decor and a blue green border. The rims have a brown oxide treatment for strength and the feet have a black treatment for strength. Great textural and color interest. See the photos. MARKINGS: One has a partial red mark, but It not readable. See the photos. AGE: Circa Meiji late 1800s, early 1900s. ORIGIN: Japan.
