Description: Thrifting find. Two 9.5" red majolica style plates, made in Portugal by Bordallo Pinheiro for Jay Willfred , a division of Andrea by Sadek. I believe the pattern name is Morning Glory; it's a botanic motif of flowers and leaves within a sort of basket weave square background. The backsides carry the Bordallo Pinheiro mark, as well as an oval Jay Willfred/Andrea by Sadek paper sticker. The stickers are a little worn. There is some light crazing in the plates' surfaces, and what looks like a small shallow scuffed area on one plate that is shown in the last photo. There's also one or two light colored stilt marks on the undersides from the glazing and firing process. Please take a look at the pictures, and let me know if you have any questions. Shipped via USPS Ground Advantage. I pack with care and lots of bubble wrap.
