Fading letters in California. Slash in the arm of John Muir (broken arm) and slash in his leg. Uneven, smashed and broken reeding all around. Obverse has slashes including a major slash under Washington's nose. At least his hair looks good! Smashed rim in 3 places and fading flattened letters.This facinating coin went through hell and still made it out into circulation!
