The helmet is signed by the 2006 Ohio Football team and includes over 60 signatures, including Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith (#10), and the other 2006 All Americans: Ted Ginn Jr (#7), James Lauirnaitis (#33 - 3 time AA), and Quinn Pitcock (#90). The four team captains have their signature on this helmet, besides at least one future All American. The Ohio 2006 Football team was ranked No. 1 in the preseason, and went 12-0 for the regular season capturing the Big Ten Title. Every week the Buckeyes were ranked #1. In a very rare circumstance, the Buckeyes three times played the #2 ranked team: (September 9 - away at Texas - W 24-7), (November 18 - Michigan at Columbus - W 42-39 [what a game]), (January 8, 2007 - Florida at the BCS game in Arizona - L 14 - 41) Even though Ohio State ended up 2nd in the nation, it was still quite a year. I have enjoyed owning this piece of Ohio State memorabilia. I loved showing it in my office. The helmet comes with a new mirrored, acrylic display case.
