Kitty Pryde joined the X-Men in 1980, at the outset of the Dark Phoenix saga. She was created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne. She ran through a series of code names including “Ariel” and “Sprite,” before settling on Shadowcat in the late 80s after she became a mystic ninja in the Kitty Pryde and Wolverine miniseries). Shadowcat has become one of the most popular X-Men in the comics. This Super Hero Squad figure was only produced for one set and is now quite hard to find.
