Description: For sale is a very cool 2017-S Boys Town Proof Half Dollar in the original government packaging. This coin was released by the U.S. Mint in 2017 to honor the 100th Anniversary of the founding of Boys Town, the iconic children's home in Nebraska founded by Father Flanagan which was featured in the famous 1938 Mickey Rooney movie. The obverse features a child in 1917 standing in front of the famous pillar at the entrance to Boy's Town, and the reverse features modern day children graduating from Boy's Town in front of the original building. It has that gorgeous mirror-image finish with frosty raised reliefs you expect from high quality proof coins. It has no major blemishes at all. This is one of the modern-day rare coins that can be had for a very low cost. Thanks!
