Description: "Zagrava" is an art book by the artist Serhii Maidukov, which documents the experiences from the beginning of February 2022, when there was a big Russian invasion of Ukraine, to the mass shelling in May 2023.In more than 50 illustrations, Serhiy Maidukov recreates the events of a year and a half of full-scale war, working with various media: pencil, ink, paper, tablet. The basis of the visual publication was the images of the author's weekly column of Serhii Maidukov for the German publication Zeit Magazin. Also, the artbook is supplemented with black and white sketches and sketches that expand the story. This is how the drawings, which work with private reflection, turn into pages of a large-scale war: the first strikes on Kyiv, the defense of Bakhmut, daily shelling of the country in the spring of 2023, and the changes taking place in cities and people. The publication included a conversation between journalist Oleksiy Tarasov and Sergyi Maidukov, which is a kind of continuation of their dialogue from the first art book KYIV by Sergyi Maidukov, published in 2021.
