The painting has a romantic storybook image of a thatched cottage with an untamed garden full of flowers that you can only reach by crossing over the stream on the humpback stone bridge. It is pastel-pretty with some impasto on the flowers and a unique 3D cottage. There is some minor wear to the paint on the very edge of the canvas where it must have been framed at one time. There is also a very slight stretch of the canvas in the sky area. This is a very pleasant image that I think would be very easy to live with.
