Description: 3 City Names 1909 Greetings Antique Postcards. Girls, Telephone. Gold Lettering This is a very nice selection of GREETINGS postcards sent for BEST WISHES and FRIENDSHIP. The postcards are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s. The postcards show YOUNG GIRLS with messages of CITY NAMES. These would have been sent out for FRIENDSHIP and as SOUVENIRS of the area. In two of the postcards, the young girl is standing on books on top of a chair, and talking on an old TELEPHONE. The other postcard shows the young girl taking off a calendar date. The city names are: Ainsworth, Nebraska; Hurd, NY, and Napoli, NY. The wording on the postcards are made with GOLD trim. These are photo style postcards and there is good detail that makes them pleasing to look at. They children have nice smiles! These are good postcards to add to a collection because of their attractive nature, their good detail, and how pleasing they are to look at. They would appeal to collectors because of their nice designs, how they capture the artistic style used back in the early 1900s, and how they show a glimpse of life back then. They are from the same publisher, United Art Publishing, a well respected publisher during that era. The postcards are UNPOSTED (2) and POSTED (1) with a cancel date of 1909. These postcards would have been "Printed in Germany" during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915). They have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. Regarding condition, please note that we try to remove damaged postcards from our lots, and only sell those postcards that are worth having in a collection.
