Description: 30 extra largeJumbo quail hatching eggs- James Marie Pharaohs (jumbo brown quail). These quail average 12-14 ounces, with some even larger. This line of birds lays very big eggs consistenty. The bird is also very large and lays at 6-7 weeks but takes a bit longer to finish out for meat than my jumbo white X Texas A&Ms. It grows frame before it puts on adequate breast meat. So takes about 8-9 weeks to finish. I start butchering the whites at around 6 weeks. Special note: I am selling you the eggs to make the birds to make these eggs. Those pictured are most likely double yoked and would not hatch. I will send you all the extra large eggs that I believe to be singles. I regularly hatch these extra large eggs. They will not fit next to each other in a hatching tray. I keep my layers on a lower percentage of protein feed, only 19%, to avoid too many of these doubles and monster eggs but I still end up with a whole lot. The more protein you feed, the larger your eggs but please be kind to your new birdies and allow them to be laying for at least month before you try to get the biggest eggs you can out of them. In the summer, they sometimes lay twice a day. They are really amazing.
