Description: For Sale From :The French Bed CompanyPack of 4 replacement bed bolts with 4 threads and 4 washers.These are used as replacement bolts and threads for French antique beds or armoires. Photo below shows how the bolts are used in most French beds. The brass thread needs to be inserted into the headboard or footboard. The thread has a cut in the top so it can be screwed into the bed with a flat bladed screwdriver, your old thread needs to be removed first. Measurements: The Bolt Total length of the bolt: 11 cm or 110 mm length in total Total length of the thread on the bolt: 5.8 cm or 58 mm length of thread on the bolt Diameter of the bolt8 mm or 0.8 cm diameter The Thread The thread, which goes into the headboard & footboard of the bed measures: 1.7 cm or 17 mm in length1.5 cm or 15 mm outside (external) diameter Please see diagram in the photos section Trouble Shooting If bolts are too long, you can pack out with washers to tighten them. If bolts are too short, you have to reduce the amount of wood between the head of the bolt and the end of side piece - ie chisel some of the wood away in between so more of the bolt goes into the bed.
