Description: This extraordinary Native American choker-necklace was handcrafted by the Santo Domingo (Kewa Pueblo) tribe of the American Southwest. The Santo Domingo-Kewa Pueblo people are known for their exquisite jewelry-making skills and attention to quality details. This necklace is a prime example. It has 4 multi-beaded strands that include turquoise, spiny oyster, and onyx. Shell heishi strands extend towards the back, with hand-carved spiny-oyster cone-ends. It has a sterling-silver chain and simple clasp. This is a beautifully made necklace that I purchased many years ago during a trip to the Southwestern USA. Never worn. Not signed.
