So they are somewhat rare. You can't buy these, they are promotional pens, given to sales people from Starbucks. They are very good pens, even though they are plastic. They have a push to load top and release. A company doesn't want to advertise their product with another product that is inferior or that is going to stop writing or fall apart. Especially a company like Seattle's Best (Starbucks) that charge a prime rate for their quality coffee. They aren't wrapped in plastic because they came bulk in a 50 count box. But I guarantee you, they are still new and have never been used. They are New Old Stock. I got these over 5 years ago. I tested one and it still works no problem.
