Description: STAND INCLUDED!I found this nice mortoniceras species ammonite in mid-July 2024 on the upper bank of a creek very close to Texas Motor Speedway, just west of I-35. it’s preserved nicely on both sides! it’s never been repaired or needed repair. I cleaned it with a dremel 290 and briefly dipped it for a few seconds in muriatic acid (counteracted with baking soda after 10 seconds) to take off a few shallow scratches. Its estimated age of 90-100 million years old places it in the age of dinosaurs, when a vast sea known as the western interior seaway covered the middle of the North American continent.
