Description: /Penn Antique Restoration ~ 6 available ~ 30"x78" Antique Solid Wood Interior Doors w/5 Panels * Although there are 6 doors available, the list price is for 1 door only. The door shown in the photos is one of the 6 doors available. If you are planning on buying less than 6 doors please look at the dimensions below and email us after the auction to let us know which door(s) you'd like. * Please note that the 30"x78" in the title is just an estimate. No door is exactly that size. Please see "Dimensions" below. Elegant, antique interior doors salvaged from an old 1880's home in Forkston, PA. The doors are made of solid Douglas fir and have 6 raised panels on both sides. All of the doors are painted on both sides. Hardware: No hardware included, however, we have a good selection of period hardware in our eBay store, and tons more in our physical store. * If you would like any of the hardware holes plugged with solid wood, please email us for a quote. Quirks & Considerations: There is a thin (1/8") gap between the lock stile and top rail (see 5th photo). This is not a serious issue and the door could still be installed and used for decades without the gap widening. However, we could close the gap using clamps and reinforce/secure the corner using modern glue and some dowels (wooden joints)--message us for a quote. The width of Door#2 was unevenly cut by 1/4" while the heights of Doors#2 & #5 were unevenly cut by 1/4". The height of Door#4 was unevenly cut by 3/8". The cuts were most likely made to accommodate a warped floor or sagging foundation. We could cut any of the doors to an even height/width, or cut them narrower/shorter, or even build them up to be wider/taller--message us for a quote. Condition: The doors are strong, sturdy, and in great structural condition. The doors have nicks and scratches, but no broken or cracked joints, rot, warp, or any other serious issues. Door#1 has a cracked panel and Door#3 & #6 have a split panel. Door#5 has a small break on the bottom corner of the interior lock-stile (see 19th photo). Most of the blemishes that they have will disappear after sanding, prior to refinishing or repainting, and whatever remains will be subtle, "character marks". Modification: Do you want to make a pair using 2 of these doors? Do you want to replace the panels with glass, screen/mesh, or something else? We could modify the doors to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
