Description: Nice, generous and healthy clumps of 6+ rhizomes and sets of fan leaves (will trim the fan leaves, which is customary with transplanting irises and doesn’t hurt this hardy plant at all). I will make every effort to ship a variety of colors with this order from my own beds/collection from a variety of over 20 colors. Planting Instructions: Plant rhizomes level with the soil line. Do not plant too deeply or the rhizomes can rot. The tops of the roots should be visible just above the soil line. If you have very sandy, dry type soil, you can plant 2" deep to completely cover the rhizome, but only when the soil is very porous, well-drained and typically on the dry side. Water regularly, 2-3 times per week until established, which takes about a month. The rhizomes will send out roots underneath and new fan leaves will emerge from the crown.
