This set of 6 ceramic tea cups and saucers was produced in Trenton, New Jersey by the Hill, Potteries or Stangl between 1952 and 1954. The pattern is known as “Star Flower” a design that is incised into the pottery and hand painted. The saucer has a diameter of 6 1/4 inches. The cup is 2 1/8 inches tall with a diameter of 3 1/4 inches. A white flower, in the shape of a star with foliage is on the front of the cup. A white flower bud is on the back and in the center of the saucer. You can feel the decorations and the different bands of color with your fingers. The feel of the high gloss glaze and layers of enamel decoration give an interesting, tactile experience you would only get from a hand made object from the past. #C697 Please do not bid if you do not intend to pay.
