Description: Offered is this eight page antique newspaper, the "Mississippi Valley Lumberman Manufacturer" from Minneapolis. This is the Friday, December 31, 1880 edition, Vol. V, No. 24. The newspaper appears to have specialized in timber and forestry industry news, with lumber and related item pricing from various cities, railroad schedules, etc. and many ads for sawmill equipment and the like, some with illustrations. This is a rare find; at the time of original listing there were only a few issues of the newspaper for sale on eBay, none from 1880. The newspaper is approx. 22" x 15". It is in fair to good condition. There are no major tears, although there are numerous short edge tears, a few small holes and some small bits missing from the edges in places. Although the paper has browned the printing is clear and readable. There is one small error: page four is numbered "6", but is not a repeat of page 6.
