Photos #1, 3, 4 and 5 are closest to accurate in color. This rare scarf is presently and has been in a stretched position laid over a foam board for several decades and is now being presented as a piece of artwork. The scarfs images are (after) two separate Gustav Klimt's works "Girlfriends" (a.k.a.) "The Lesbians" and "Machen (girl) in profile" combined into one. AS IS, this scarf is in great condition and ready to be reframed. Purely as a loose scarf however, there are a couple of issues that would need attention. Because the edges have been folded over and under masking tape for so long, the scarf now has glue residue that may or may not come off. The edges are, for now, in a permanent bent position and there is a tiny corner tear (last photo) that needs repair.This item is a great art piece for the Gustav Klimt fan and if you know the meaning and the history behind this artwork, it was controversial, look it up. This piece will add a great conversation piece or make a great inspirational statement in any home's décor.
