Description: From my collection: 9-inch all-composition unmarked Patsy-type "Patsyette" size doll in her original dress, onesie, and shoes. Composition: Even though this Patsyette-type girl is nearly 100 years old, her composition is in very good condition with minimal light crazing on the face and almost none on the body (please see photos). She has all of her fingers. Her stringing is a little loose, but she holds a pose. Head: Molded hair painted blonde, painted face with no paint chipping; it looks very good. There is an original company production flaw on the top of her head where the composition is not totally filled in. It is hidden by her hair ribbon (replaced). Clothing: The Patsyette-type girl wears her original dress in very good condition (yoke with high-waist) with scalloped-embroidered edge Peter Pan collar that pins in back. The original muslin onesie with lace-edge at the leg openings is in very good condition and pins in the back. I believe that she wears original shoes and socks. I never remove shoes and socks as old shoes could easily rip, but I have not reason to suspect any problem with her feet. Research Information:Effanbee made the original Patsy in late 1920s (designed by Bernard Lipfert) and nearly every doll company of the time copied her sweet impish image with the bent-right arm and side-glancing eyes. I researched many of the Patsy-type dolls shown on dollreference.com and believe her to be "Bobby Ann" by Regal Doll Co. of NYC, later purchased by Horsman. Bobby Ann was unmarked and if she had her tag, it would have been marked "Kiddie Pal Dolly." No returns, please, unless I have somehow misrepresented her in my description. Thank you.
