We picked up a pretty large collection of slide from the 1960s to the early 1970s several years ago and just put them in one of the closets in the house. We got the collection form a lady who worked for and retired from the Red Cross. She moved to Korea before the Korean War and before it was split into North and South Korea. She later moved to Vietnam during the Korean War before moving back home to the states and retiring from the organization. There are some really cool slides in here of some from throughout North Africa, Asia and the United States. For sale is a group of nine 35mm slides of places in Alaska.There are several really cool shots including Mt. McKinley, Muldrow Glacier, Sable Pass, McKinley National Park, Nugget Lake and totems.PLEASE NOTE: Our lighted table doesn't have a very strong light, so the slides aren't as bright as they would be when lit by a stronger light, such as in a projector. However, the slides are quite a bit brighter than shown in the pictures.We aren't sure as to the exact year these slides were produced, but we know they date to the 1960s or 1970s. Given their plastic frames, we would think they would be from the 1970s.The slides are in excellent, undamaged condition and ready to be turned into photographs if desired. The slide of McKinley Valley, middle bottom row, has a split cardboard frame and the color negative is loose. This can easily be corrected, but we figured we'd leave it as is in case the next person wants to remove the negative to develop a picture. We will make sure the slide are tightly secured so the negative will not shift during shipping. These slides will be shipped in a padded envelope via media mail with the USPS.
