Description: A. Howland & Co Wooden Smoothing Plane. 9” X 2-3/4” Hand Plane. Vintage antique smoothing plane. A. Howland and Co NY from what I see online manufactured planes between 1869 and 1874. Blade and front of plane stamped with Howland company logo although the body markings are faint and hard to photograph. Iron has beehive logo. Plane was used and has marks on heel from hammer adjustment. There is cracking in the body as would be expected of a tool that is 150 years old but none appear to go through and body is solid. Iron has some pitting at top but is in good condition with nice patina… could be sharpened and put to use if you wanted. As is, review photos prior to bidding. Will combine shipments.
