As much as I love Tom Ford, everything I’ve seen from Haider Ackermann Berluti has an unmatched attention to detail. My tailor simply shortened the sleeves a touch on one and she told me inside it had four layers going on. Even more unbelievable, she said where most brands cut corners in places people would never look, Haider Berluti actually went the extra mile and ADDED details no one will ever see! That tells you everything you need to know. These are literal works of art! I’m a massive fan of suede blazers. Everyone knows these are expensive and luxe all priced in the $10,000 - $8,000 range from top designers. The only ones that can compare to TOM FORD is this Haider Ackermann era Berluti. They look equally stunning sartorial dressed up for date nights and events, as they do casually with a pair of jeans! Berluti still makes these retailing for $9,000 w/tax, but these rare Haider editions are extra special. I’m such a diehard TF fan yet have to admit the Haider Berluti is even better in terms of detail and quality. I have a couple Tom Ford suede blazers to compare to this. The Haider fits like a glove off the rack. The details are impeccable:– it has a nice light casual feel– a cool leather accent above the right front pocket– leather accents under the collar and – leather accents if you roll the sleeves back a touch (see reference photos)– working buttons on the sleeve with leather accents on the last and a cool angled cut at the wrist. The fit is exceptional as are the little details Haider is famous for. As you can see from style icons Hidetoshi Nakata (the “David Beckham” of Japan and one of my favorites for personal style) and Derek Blasberg who wore his navy version often. As TOM FORD famously said “Menswear is a detail-driven business” SIZE NOTEI'm 6 feet, 180lbs for fit pic reference. I'm typically a comfortable size 50 EU (40 US) and fitted 48 (38 US). My tailor said I’m a natural 21 inch chest, 18 inch shoulder and 25 inch shoulder-to-wrist for fit pic reference. This is a size 48 IT, tight on me and difficult to button. I’d recommend for a natural 48 or possible 46 IT depending how you like it to fit. See measurements below.
