Description: This pair of exquisite Vieux Paris (Old Paris) porcelain vases are a true testament to French craftsmanship and beauty and the Victorian era. Made in the mid-to-late 19th century, these vases are a beautiful representation of floral design with a mostly pink and gold gilt color and a glossy finish. These vases are both authentic and unique, with a bas relief design and a handcrafted antique style. They have a height of 5 1/8” and a width of 4.5” at the widest part, with a weight of 12-14 oz each. These vases are perfect for collectors of French-themed decorative pottery and glassware from the Victorian era. Each is marked on the bottom with an impressed 1885(?) and painted with a “28.” Date and price? Issues: chipping to some of the bas-relief flower petals. Gold gilt paint loss. One vase has a faint pink lustre finish on the flower decoration on the side, curiously, the other does not. Please take a good look at all of the pictures as these are indicative of the condition of the pieces. While these pieces are not perfect, They are absolutely lovely and hearken back to a long lost age.
